Why is your vision unclear? Momentum is missing!
The traditional beliefs about attaining success have left us coveting what others have, measuring our success by material accumulation and possessions, and unclear about the full process of bringing forth our destiny. I suspect that due to the pursuit of success, more believers have ended up depressed, oppressed, and doubting themselves.
Opening our minds to what is possible creates the energy needed to make the transition from an intellectual experience to a real-life mission.
It needs human energy and passion to ignite. This is where motivation comes in. Motivation is the missing key that links the understanding of achievement to the energy it took to get the motion to move toward achievement.
Motivation is having the desire and willingness to do something.
That is translating your vision into momentum.
Let’s Work on Your Vision
What is a business vision and why is it important?
A vision statement is a broad, inspiring image of the future state a business aspires to reach. It describes without specifying how aspirations will be achieved, or when. It’s ambitious and forward-thinking. It’s not about where the organisation is now… it’s about what the organisation will be, or aspires to be.
Why your employees need a vision to follow
Your staff need a strong, clear vision statement just as much as you do. When creating a vision statement keep this in mind. The vision will need to be something that your staff can embrace and stand behind. A powerful vision statement that your staff can get excited about and that will motivate, inspire and build morale in all aspects of your business.
Examples of powerful vision statements
This example from the Disney Corporation clearly defines who they are and their vision for the business…

Your unique strengths and weaknesses
Look at your Strengths and Weaknesses from the perspective of everyone who does business with you.
Think about strengths and weaknesses from the perspective of customers, staff, management, vendors or suppliers and owners.
For example, what would your customers say about your customer service standards? Would this area be considered a strength or a weakness? What would your staff say, or what would you want them to say about training and professional development opportunities? What do you think about your income and overall financial growth?
How to write your vision statement
You need to write and refine your statement so it’s smooth, clear and easy to understand. Here’s a checklist to use when reviewing the words you’ve written:
Once you’ve created your vision statement, share it with the world. Your vision is something you’ve committed to, and it lets everyone know where your company is heading. It allows them to see where you want to go and gives them the opportunity to help you get there.
