The Top Digital Marketing Gurus Still Swear by Email Marketing. Why?
Your List is Gold Dust
A responsive email marketing list is like gold dust.
All of the top digital marketing gurus know this and, whilst they commonly use social media, they use it to grow their email marketing lists.
The people who subscribe to your list have done so for a reason. They have seen or heard of your company, products or services and they are interested.
That makes them already warm leads. They may become purchasers or (and) they may become disciples passing on your information to other people.
Someone allowing you to send them an email which they open is a privilege for you. So you must never take that for granted.
Your copy always needs to be thoughtful. You must combine research with value to your customers because they are giving you their time in opening and reading your communication.
If you are looking for advice on how to do this right then you should contact BBG to get you started on the right trail.
Email Marketing Tools
There are many tools to send and manage your Email Marketing program.
One thing we recommend is never to manage your Email Marketing via your own server using your in-house email client. For one, it does not have the tools required to measure your success and secondly being reported for spam may shutdown your entire company email account.
Online tools are generally superb, inexpensive and simple to use. They can also be linked to your website so you can grow your list direct from your content.
Mailchimp is one of the most common email marketing platforms. Mailchimp helps small businesses do big things, with the right tools and guidance every step of the way.
We have used this product with many of our clients and most of them have never paid for the service because they have small lists (up to 2,000 contacts with a single list is free).
Other options include Campaignmonitor, ActiveCampaign and even Hubspot if you are looking to combine your email marketing with a CRM.
